Yarra Hockey Club offers private and small-group field hockey tuition for members and the wider community, delivered by qualified coaches, experienced players and accredited mentors — at our home ground in Bellfield, in Melbourne’s north-east.
Whether you’re a junior building fundamentals, a senior player preparing for competition, or a team after a focused training block, we’ll match you with a coach to suit your goals.

Coaching options and rates (2026 rates)
Choose the coaching level that fits your goals. All rates are per hour (not per person) and include free pitch hire at our Bellfield ground. Fees reflect the experience and accreditation of the coach, and align with the Fair Work Sporting Organisations Award 2020.

A short note on the levels: National/International and Regional/State players have represented at those levels in senior Hockey Australia pathways; Grade 2 and Grade 1 Coaches hold formal Hockey Australia accreditation, with Grade 2 covering intensive, competition-focused programs and Grade 1 covering junior, development and recreational coaching.
How to book
- Open to everyone — Yarra members and non-members welcome
- Minimum session — 1 hour
- Group size — up to 14 participants (team rate applies for 5–14)
- Booking notice — at least 48 hours in advance
- Cancellations — 24 hours’ notice; late cancellations may incur a 50% fee
- Payment — a payment link is issued before your session
