In 2023, Yarra had two Under 12 (U12) teams competing in the Winter season – U12 Shield B and U12 Pennant. Our Shield B team finished in 3rd place, while our Mixed Pennant team had a strong end to their season, finishing in 6th.
In 2024, the structure of the Winter competition is changing slightly, with the removal of the Shield B tier and expansion of the Pennant competition.
We are hoping to field an U12 Girls Pennant team and at least one if not two U12 Mixed Pennant teams in 2024, so please get in touch if you are keen to join a team.
U12 games are played on a Saturday morning, with training on a Monday evening.
Pre season training typically begins in late Feb/early March, and the season kicks off at the beginning of May.
There will also be an opportunity for Yarra players to trial for the Junior State Championships (JSC) Under 12’s Hockey 5s tournament later in the year, so stay tuned for updates!
