Yarra Hockey Club’s Women’s section welcomes players of all backgrounds, ages and abilities. Whether you’re a seasoned competitor after a new challenge or picking up a stick for the first time, there’s a team for you — at our home ground in Bellfield, in Melbourne’s north-east.
Every player is backed by an experienced coaching cohort focused on development and team ethos, and welcomed into a supportive community with revamped facilities and a renewed purpose: to enrich the lives of our community on and off the field. We also run separate Master’s teams.
2026 Women’s Hockey Teams
Yarra has entered three Women’s teams in Hockey Victoria’s 2026 outdoor competitions, played Saturdays and Sundays from April to September:
- Women’s Victoria League 1
- Women’s Victoria League 1 Reserves
- Women’s Pennant D

Women’s Hockey Training in Bellfield
We train twice weekly at our home ground, Cyril Cummins Reserve in Bellfield — easily reached from Heidelberg, Ivanhoe, Rosanna, Eaglemont, Macleod and the wider Banyule area, as well as Northcote and Preston:
- Thursdays 7:00–8:30pm
- Tuesdays 8:00–9:30pm
