Under 14s (born 2010 & 2011) play under lights on a Friday night during the Winter season between May and September.
The club is fielding a Girls U14 Shield team and as our U14 Boys won their Pennant competition in 2023 we are hoping to have them play in the U14 Shield competition in 2024.
Training is on a Tuesday night prior to Men’s and Women’s training which gives the players an opportunity to join in and start training at a higher level to develop their skills with the more experienced players in preparation for moving into the open age competition and representative sides.
There will also be opportunities for Yarra players to trial for the North West Metro Tigers in the Junior State Championships (JSC) held every year in the July school holidays and the Hockey Victoria Under 14 Academy.
In 2023 Yarra had 8 JSC, 3 Victorian State Outdoor, 2 Victorian State Indoor and 1 Hockey Club Melbourne Futures representatives from the U14 cohort.
